The view from the property is breathtaking regardless of the time of year. Relax and enjoy the surrounding natural beauty
of the house or take one of the many walks in Glengarriff nature reserve which is within a short distance
The walks vary from riverside to meadow to woodland and cater for all abilities.
The Beara Way winds around the peninsula and can be accessed from numerous paths in the Glengarriff area.The Healy pass through the Caha mountains is a must by car and the colours vary from morning light to evening dusk.

Barley lake is set high amongst the caha mountains and can be accessed by car or by foot, though the climb is quite steep.The view however is worth it. In the nature reserve is an area known as Pouleen woods, where there is a pool in the river . This is a beautiful place to swim or just sit and enjoy the sound of the waterfall and tranquil setting. Garnish island is accessed via ferry from glengarriff harbour and is well worth a trip.The island is home to many tropical plants that grow only in this area due to its position in the harbour and the effect of the Gulf stream.
